Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
For some times in life, I always thinks of reason for some events of why is it happenings. well, if by based on Stephen R Covey 7th habits of most effective people, i am among those who have big circle of concern, and small circle of influence. which means, as of his 1st habits of effective-ability, i somehow failed. yes i admit that. i am not being submissive, but there’s no more words that i should spurs as it is the truth about my weaknesses. to improve ourselves we first need to admit mistakes, and struggle ourselves to overcome that limits.
Yes, i failed to be proactive. Proactive people enlarge circle of influence.
in Qur’an, Allah’s said:
“No self can believe except with Allah’s permission. He places a blight on those who do not use their intellect (10:100)”
…and so, as i’ve got the answer for why i am reasoning things is actually because i don’t read much books, news and articles that discuss such matters that come to my concerns, i started to ponder:
” why shouldn’t i start reading all these provocative kinds of books? ” and so, i venture my mind into books like freakonomics by steven d levitt and stephen d. dubner, Start up Nation by Dan Senor and Saul Singer( a book that is provocative enough to some self-proclaiming pious, because this book discuss everything about why israel is of what it is right now) ,dealing with difficult people in a week by Brian Salter.. and some other books which i forgot the tittle and their authors.
Still, there are always spaces in my conscience which speak-up my concerns, since there always some void space in me thinking over things which somehow turns complicated things into some perplexing things. and so.. when there are just no answers to all my cogitations, Allah always show me the right answer to all these questions that comes to mind:
Allah says:
1) We have sent down to you the Book ( Qur’an) explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims. (16:89)
2) What assailed you on the day the two armies met was by Allah’s permission, so that He would know the believers, and so that He would know the Hypocrites. They were told, ‘Come and fight in the Way of Allah or at least help defend us’. They said, ‘ IF we knew how to fight, we would certainly follow you’. They were closer to disbelief that day than to faith, saying with their mouth what was not in their hearts. And Allah knows best what they are hiding. (3:166-167)
3) He increases in guidance those who are already guided and gives them their sense of duty( 47:17)
4)You who believe! People should not ridicule others who may be better themselves, nor should any women ridicule other women who may be better than themselves. And do not find fault with one another or insult each other with derogatory nicknames. How evil is it to have a name for evil conduct after coming to faith!
Those people who do not turn from it are wrongdoers(Qur’an, 49:11)
…basically, there tons of answers i get from all the questions and puzzles that comes to my mind.
and yeap, i got most of the answers from Al-quran.
So, as of now i am strongly believe with ample proves, that AL-quran has everything! Every solutions are in there. All the past history can teach us how to handle things that happenings now. let say, if it is about corruption, from 8:73, we can get:
Those who do not believe are the friends and protectors of one another. If you do not act in this way, there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.
See?! we just need to seek and pray for the best, and search for some taufik inside al-quran, be steadfast, and inshaAllah, Allah will give us answers, in whichever ways that fits us. Allah’s the All-Knowing The Benevolent, The Merciful, The All -Loving.
